Axis Manufacturing runs 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling for oil & gas, energy, and industrial clients across Alberta. ISO 9001:2015 certified. Every step documented. Every part traced.
Five documented steps — the same rigorous process on every CNC milling job, regardless of complexity or order size.
Before a single chip is made, we review your drawing for machinability — flagging any concerns about features, tolerances, or fixturing. Then we program the job in GibbsCAM, optimising toolpaths for surface finish, cycle time, and dimensional accuracy.
We pull from our certified in-house material inventory — 4140, L80, stainless, Inconel, and more. Mill cert documentation is captured at intake and tied to your job record. Material is cut to near-net size and staged for machining.
The job runs to the GibbsCAM program on our CNC milling centres. 3-axis and 4-axis operations are performed as required — including surface profiling, pocket milling, compound angles, and complex feature machining. Operators monitor the process throughout.
In-process dimensional checks are performed at key stages of machining. Final inspection verifies all critical dimensions against your drawing. Results are recorded as part of the job documentation — included with your parts, not filed away.
Finished parts are cleaned, protected, and packaged for shipping. Every shipment includes mill certifications, heat number traceability, dimensional inspection records, and any other documentation your QMS requires. Delivered on time, every time.
When tolerances are tight and the material spec is non-negotiable, Axis Manufacturing delivers. Our CNC milling capability is built around the real demands of Alberta's oil & gas, energy, and industrial sectors — not general-purpose jobbing.
We run GibbsCAM for every job, maintaining optimised toolpaths for surface finish, cycle time, and dimensional repeatability. Our ISO 9001:2015 quality system means documented processes, in-process checks, and full traceability on every part we ship.
Real feedback from operations managers, procurement leads, and design engineers across Alberta.
"Axis turned around a set of complex 4-axis milled downhole components in under a week. Dimensions were spot-on, documentation was complete, and they communicated clearly throughout. We'll be sending more work."
"We needed tight-tolerance milled parts in 4140 steel on a short timeline. Axis delivered on time with full material certs and an inspection report. Exactly what we needed from a machine shop."
"The team at Axis reviewed our CAD files thoroughly before machining and flagged a potential issue before it became a problem. That kind of attention to detail is rare. Quality parts, great people."
